What does a cloud computing specialist do?
As a cloud computing expert, you’ll be responsible for the management of mass data storage, plus the remote operation of IT functions and computing systems. There are many different job roles specialising in cloud computing, particularly as each cloud provider’s platform works differently. This means that some people only specialise in working with one provider’s cloud platform, while others learn more than one. Some of the key roles include:
- Cloud Architects, who are responsible for planning, building and testing large-scale cloud deployments in line with the organisation’s needs.
- Cloud Engineers, who are instead responsible for ensuring that cloud deployments work on a technical level.
